Job Title: Senior Manager, Continuous Improvement & Reliability

Job Summary:

The Senior Manager of Continuous Improvement and Reliability (CI&R) is responsible for building and supporting the continuous improvement and reliability team that partners with business operations across the organization while driving the development and implementation of industry best operational and business processes and practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leading and fostering a "champion" philosophy, drawing on all organizational departments and functions by driving involvement and teamwork, and by leveraging the insights and talents of everyone on the team; accomplishing this through Kaizen events, gemba walks, developing and leading lean skills training events and impactful one-on-one discussions

  • Create and review standard operating procedures (SOP) and processes from a view of refining and improving operational excellence which aligns with lean methodology

  • Driving consistent behavior, practice and mindset in continuous improvement and reliability across accounts for business uniformity and best practices

  • Coaching and developing the CI&R team for their growth and increased value to the organization

  • Using formal, data-driven problem-solving methodologies to drive initiatives forward and deliver results

  • Lead and participate in lean initiatives and principles, such as 5s, value stream mapping, process observation and analysis, and kaizen events

  • Training individuals and teams in the use of lean tools and principles to promote a culture of continuous improvement

  • Effectively prioritize improvement opportunities and practices across businesses

  • Effectively communicating verbally, visually, and in writing to sell your ideas to various internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in an Engineering field or Operations Management from an accredited college or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with 4+ years in a leadership/management role and 3+ years in a dedicated lean / CI capacity

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

  • Certified Lean, Six Sigma, TPS training or the like

  • English -Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization

  • Lean / Continuous Improvement training (Six Sigma, Toyota Production Principles, others) and in-depth knowledge of various continuous improvement tools (Fishbone and Spaghetti Diagrams, FMEA’s, others)

  • Must have the ability to travel up to 25% of the time
