Job Title : Electrical Foreman-- Georgetown, SC
Job Summary :
MOR PPM Inc. seeks an Electrical Foreman located in Georgetown, SC.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Plans new or modified installations to effectively and efficiently construct or repair wiring, fixture, or equipment consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned craft workers.
Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders as needed for area of supervision.
Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Establish and adjusts work sequences to meet construction schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel.
Attend project planning / scheduling meetings.
Analyze and resolves work problems.
Inspect quality of finished work to ensure conformance to specifications.
Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
Detect, recognize and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
Perform frequent safety inspections of work area, equipment, tools, and employees
Appropriate journeyman experience required.
Performs other duties as required
Qualifications:
Possess the ability to use the English language to communicate (both verbally and in writing) accurately and concisely on technical matters to external and internal customers
Read and interpret schematics, mechanical drawings.
Basic computer skills
Have a complete set of electrical, and fabrication tools appropriate for maintenance and repair
Ability to demonstrate proficiency in all of the above areas
Preferred experience:
Five years industrial electrical experience
Technical school training for PLC
Two to Three years as a Foreman or Team Leader
Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:
May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
Must posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
Must have full range of motion consistent with age
Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises
Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
