Job Title:

CAD/Revit Detailer

Job Summary:

The Cad and Revit Detailer will become part of a skilled team of Tucker’s Virtual Design and Construction department. They would be involved in all aspects of the department with a focus on working with VDC technicians to create detailed technical drawings and models using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software like Revit and Navis works. They would help in coordinating and developing project design models, creating Shop and Field drawings and converting shop drawings to fabrication drawings for both Mechanical and Plumbing systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support in generating mechanical and plumbing models using the designated project specifications, design drawings and models, control diagrams, submittals, RFI's, and modeling

  • Ensure all drawings and models adhere to industry standards and project guidelines.

  • Make necessary revisions to drawings as per feedback from project stakeholders.

  • Coordinate with other team members to ensure seamless integration of design and construction documentation.

  • Completes drawing/modeling including model preparation, modeling, piece numbering, annotating, dimensioning, and spooling.

  • Provide support to new and current project design and/or drafting

  • Maintaining project schedules, coordinating workflow, and balancing workload along with managing project budget.

  • Provide support for VDC Management to coordination and negotiate critical issues.

  • Maintain documentation records of generated drawing deliverables.

  • Ensure project documentation and contracts follow the standards set forth by the Project Documents, and/or Company Standards.

  • Conduct project related model reviews.

  • Provide field support to collaborate and coordinate design model and installation requirements.

  • Review shop drawings, respond to RFI’s and attend construction meetings.

Qualifications:

Preferred Education and/or Experience:

  • Experience in the construction industry preferred.

  • Preferred knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems.

  • High School diploma or GED required.

Computer Skills:

  • Experience in AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks.

  • Experience in working in a Revit work-sharing environment.

  • Experience in MS Office, Word, Excel and Outlook

Compensation range for this position: $65K - $80K based on experience and knowledge.
